Ecubed Events - Bobo & Rati's 3rd anniversary dinner

They rightly denote that, Every couple has a significant date that defines their starting point of their commitment to their relationship. It could be the date they met, got together, or got married. This is the day most promised to share their lives together forever. Couples typically celebrate this day with elegant anniversary gifts for each other or specially planned events that express their love. Anniversaries signify the continuation of the couple's love and commitment for one another throughout the years. Hence each and every anniversary deserves to be celebrated in a memorable way.

We had the opportunity to be a part of Bobo and Rati's 3rd anniversary celebration. This was one phenomenal evening that resembled an intimate affair embellished with so much love and tenderness. Bobo and Rati are not just another couple, they are a an inspirational pair in many levels and this is a notion I am convinced is shared by many that have come across them. Though celebrated on the 20th of October, their anniversary was in fact on the 26th September. They have been married 3 years now. On one hand, those three years seem to have flown by, but on the other…a lot has happened in that time, especially their 2nd year in marriage and not much of it has been particularly enjoyable. It is true to say that they have had more than the average newly married couple to cope with, but it is how gracefully and unified they faced each challenge that moves even the heaviest of hearts.

Though their original plan was to celebrate their anniversary with friends only after at-least every 5 years, they found it worthy to celebrate this one with friends out of their original plan, as they had totally missed the opportunity to celebrate their 2nd, during which Rati had been hospitalised and unwell throughout their 2nd year of marriage. This has tested their faith as well as strengthened their bond. The love and support they gave each other and still continue to give each other is commendable. We are pleased to say Rati continues to recover and this year marks greater things ahead of them and we absolutely had a great night from the company, shared  stories, joy and laughter. In a nutshell it was one ravishing night!

We at Exquisite Elegant Events, wish you well Bobo and Rati

Blue and Silver had been their wedding theme 3 years ago. They wanted to take a walk down the memory lane so we worked on a theme around the color blue that will still allow for that sweetheart, dreamy & intimate touch to the evening that suited the venue (Lansmore hotel).  color palette: POWDER BLUE, GOLD,CREAM, CAMEL & WHITE

Some of the couple's friends who graced the occasion
We also had the opportunity to style (hair and clothing) and makeup the lady of the day. below is Phoebe our chief planner and our Honoree after the styling session. Unfortunately because Rati is on a whell chair we could not get full length shots.

Rati wanted to look like a bride again yet feel comfortable so we went for a loose creamy soft peach fitted chiffon dress, accessorised with golden jewellery and shoes and finished it off with this lovely hat for the desired bride effect. Bobo is not a fan of makeup and asked that she doesn't wear any so to honor his quest yet stamp in the look we went for a low toned natural palette make-do.

Thank you for stopping by and remember to:

We would also like to extend gratitude to the lovely Lebo of Dododee Designs for coming through for us with her photographic eye at such a short notice :-)

Ecubed Style: Ludo

Ludo (Now Mrs Busang) is one of our 2012 Style consulting  clients. Although this post is a couple of months late as their wedding was end of June, it felt only fair to square up and update on our then meeting.

Our very pretty then bride to be Ludo had come to us to do an image consulting for her big day. She is generally one of those make-up phobic following seeing some people with very outstanding and not so pleasing to the eye make-do on their big days. Skeptical about how make-up will suit her she consulted us for advice on the best style and accessories for her face type and aspired day style, as well as a make up trial finished with a few pictures for her to take to her on the day stylists. We had a great time and this what came out of the few hours spent with Mrs Busang. Thank you for stopping by.
